YOUR INSTRUCTING TEAM

NATASHAOWNERI started pole in 2012 and aerials in 2016. I quickly became obsessed and knew early on that I could do this forever. To be an instructor and have the opportunity to share my passion with the world was my dream! Over the years, this industry has changed my whole outlook on life, fitness and health, both physical and mental! I feel so lucky to have achieved my dream job of opening Jungle and be able to share this wonderful community with so many people! As an Instructor, I love the freedom of creating routines and coming up with unique transitions, floorwork and flows in my choreography. I enjoy the challenge of finding new ways to break down moves and adapting them for my students. But the most rewarding part of my amazing job, is the look of astonishment on my students faces when they realise they just achieved something they thought was impossible! Witnessing that moment when they first start to believe in themselves! The pride and excitement I get to feel for them every day is incredible!AMANDAWhat I Teach: PoleI began my journey at Jungle Studio in 2021, participating in aerial classes. I still remember my very first class at the studio, the amazing instructor I had and how shy I was. I was now learning those exact moves that first caught my eye and absolutely loving it. My true passion, I found after my first pole and chair class. The feeling I felt was indescribable and a feeling I hadn’t felt since my group fitness days. I felt alive!! I love the challenge these 2 apparatuses bring; the strength, cardio fitness, and flexibility I gained; the freedom, the excitement and of course the creativity. I was learning moves I never imagined were possible and learning to move my body in ways that flowed effortlessly. I loved having the ability and freedom to create choreography ranging from beautiful and slinky to dynamic and edgy. I would have never found this gift if it wasn’t for the amazing people at the studio. Becoming an instructor and competing in Chairography for Jungle Studio has thus far been my greatest achievement.ASHLEIGHWhat I Teach: Silks, Pole & ChoreographyI started my pole journey in 2015 as a challenge for a new and exciting way to get fit and after my first class, I never looked back! I have moved from my home town and struggled to find the motivation as I got a little lost in city life, which unfortunately made me have a long break from pole. But I have found my feet again here at Jungle Studio, thanks to the amazing atmosphere and supportive and confidence boosting instructors and peers. What I love most about pole dancing is making my body do things I never thought I could, and no matter how much you learn there is always something new that will surprise you. To be able to pass that on to others is what I find truly inspiring about teaching. To finally be able to tackle that tricky move and/or gain confidence in performing a new routine can have such a positive impact on a persons day and life, and who doesn't want to be a part of that!ASHLEYWhat I Teach: SlingDancing and performing have been a part of my life since the moment I could walk. I have a passion for the creative and performing arts, coming from a dance background with over 20 years of experience. I attended my first aerials class at Jungle Studio in 2022 after my sister-in-law suggested it to me. From the moment I walked into the studio I knew it was the right place for me! Not only was I able to further develop my own creative skills by learning new ways to move my body in apparatuses but it became my second home where I could come to relax, have fun and unwind after a stressful day at work. I was first drawn to Lyra and soon after sling because I could use my flexibility, gracefulness and flow from dancing and challenge myself to gain new strength. What I love the most about Lyra and sling is how I can express myself, build self-esteem and confidence, all while surprising myself by achieving things I never thought I’d be able to do! By day I am a School Teacher, where I also teach dance, so when the opportunity to instruct at the studio came, I knew it was meant for me. It is very fulfilling to help my students improve and achieve things beyond their own expectations and I am honoured to share my passion and knowledge with my students.HANNAHWhat I Teach: SilksI was first introduced to aerials in 2019 when a friend convinced me to come along to a trial pole class at one of our local studios. I had a lot of fun however I could not keep my eyes off the girls who were practising hoops and silks across the room. I was so amazed by all of the things that they were doing that I knew I had to give it a go. I booked in for a class just a few days later and I have never looked back. When I am up in the silks, I feel such a rush of adrenaline and excitement. I feel empowered and confident, and it gives me the drive to try things that I never thought I could achieve. If I have had a stressful day at home or work, Jungle studio is my place to come to relax, have fun and unwind. I am so proud to be part of such an amazing and supportive community that Jungle studio has become, I’ve known from my first class that I would love to teach others the skills that I would not have been able to make that dream a reality without the opportunities and support from all of the girls! In our studio, there is never a dull moment and every day offers new challenges and something new to learn. I am grateful to be able to share my journey and knowledge, especially when I can be part of helping other girls overcome fears and achieve their personal goals.KAITLYNWhat I Teach: Aerial YogaI've been doing aerial silks since 2015. It all started when I saw a YouTube video of a Cirque du Soleil aerial silks performance and I was completely mesmerised. I soon found classes online, joined a youth circus troupe, I trained in many apparatuses but fell in love with silks. I later joined the Jungle tribe, and it's been my passion ever since. I am always in search of my next trick to attempt and conquer. I love the endless possibilities for tricks and routines that aerial silks presents, and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to share this passion with others.KIRRALEEWhat I Teach: Hoop & PoleAfter seeing an ad for Jungle Studio online, a friend and I decided to sign up for our first class together, looking for something fun to try. I was obsessed immediately! I began doing as many classes as possible, however the first apparatus I gravitated towards and fell in love with was Hoop. I now (still) train as many apparatuses as I can – Hoop, Pole, Sling, Silks, Flexibility and Dance. I have always admired gymnasts and contortionists for their grace, strength, and flexibility. Growing up flipping, tumbling, and stretching in my backyard, I always dreamed of doing something like what I saw at the Olympics. Now, I have the opportunity every day to incorporate these elements that inspire me and to share this passion with others. Although I never knew much about pole or aerials prior to starting, I always think about how much sense it makes that I have ended up here. Before joining Jungle Studio, I never imagined that I could have the confidence, strength, and ability that I do now. My favourite part about instructing is just having fun with my students and being able to create a supportive and encouraging environment within my classes. I love being able to share my passion and knowledge with others, because I know how much this studio can change someone’s life. There is nothing like seeing the joy shine from students when they realise what they are capable of.TANYAWhat I Teach: Sling, Hoop & BeginnersMy aerials journey started with Jungle Studio in 2019 when I was walking with my dog and found myself wondering what the building with the big green sign was. I spent the rest of that walk with my nose buried in the website and I think I was hooked before I even attended my first class. I had been searching for something new to get my body moving and had tried a few casual dance classes and even a bit of ice skating, but none of it felt quite right. After a short time I was already calling Jungle my “happy place” or my “second home”. It was exactly what I had been looking for. There were dance elements but also fun new tricks, spinning and even hanging upside down! I started with hoop and sling and my love for those two apparatuses still remains the strongest, although now you will see me enjoying everything Jungle has to offer. If you’d told me a few years ago how much I would also love pole dance, I probably would have laughed. When the opportunity to train as instructor arose, I was so excited to be a part of it. I’ve always enjoyed teaching and helping others. I want my students to find that same sense of wonder, fun and acceptance that I found with Jungle and to know that we are all on our own journey at our own pace and that is more than ok! |
